CIDESCO Post Graduate Examination
Qualified Beauty Therapists who have worked for at least
three years, may be upgraded to CIDESCO standards by taking the CIDESCO
examination after undergoing additional training at a registered
CIDESCO School. The examination can also be organised by the CIDESCO
Section.
CIDESCO DIPLOMA IN AROMATHERAPY
This qualification is available only to holders of the
International CIDESCO Diploma. Candidates are required to have
completed a course of at least 90 hours at a registered CIDESCO School,
covering the Aromatotherapy Training Syllabus. On completion of
the course, candidates have to produce six case histories and undergo a
practical and a theory examination conducted by the School.
CIDESCO DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL EPILATION
This qualification is available only to holders of the
International CIDESCO Diploma. Candidates are required to have
completed a course of at least 200 hours at a registered CIDESCO
School, covering the Electrical Epilation Training Syllabus. On
completion of the course, candidates undergo practical and a theory
examination conducted by the School.

CIDESCO SPA DIPLOMA COURSE SYNOPSIS
Aim of the course.
To give candidates the required information to be able to
efficiently and effectively work in Day Spas and resorts across the
world. The course is designed to give candidates the most comprehensive
Spa training.
Prerequisite
CIDESCO Diploma in Beauty Therapy or CIDESCO Postgraduate Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
Minimum Entry Requirements
This qualification is available only to holders of the
International CIDESCO Diploma in Beauty Therapy or CIDESCO Postgraduate
Diploma in Beauty Therapy. Beauty / Skin Care Therapist not holding a
CIDESCO Diploma and other specialist e.g. Physiotherapist, who wish to
undertake this course, may be assessed for the Postgraduate
International CIDESCO Diploma just prior to sitting the Spa Therapies
Diploma.
Candidates are required to have completed a course of at least
180 hours at a registered CIDESCO school, covering the Spa Therapy
Training Syllabus. On completion of the course, candidates have
to undergo a practical and a theory examination conducted by the school.
Examination
The examination for the Spa Therapy Diploma consists of a 75 questions theory
exam and a 3 hour practical exam.
Spa Facilities
It is understood that not all providers will have all the
facilities needed for this course onsite at their premises. Although an
advantage to have at least some, it is not compulsory. Use of equipment
and facilities to teach the Spa Diploma may be outsourced to a local Spa that has agreed to allow access to the equipment for training and examinations.
CIDESCO must receive all information on School’s Spa facilities
or the facilities at where the training may be outsourced.
Spa Training
There is no limit to the amount of students permitted to start the
course however it should be understood that due to the complex nature
of some Spa treatments, it would not be advisable to have more then 12
students participating in practical classes/demonstrations. In such
cases, it is recommended that the class be divided into a maximum of 12
students per group to ensure every student learns the correct
information.
CIDESCO Spa Examination Application conditions.
CIDESCO must receive all information on School’s Spa facilities or the facilities at where the training may be outsourced.
This information must be in the form of:
- Photographs of the facilities
- Names and photographs of pieces of Spa equipment
- Floor plans etc.
- Training Timetables in the local Spa if some of the training is outsourced.
